Our Head Coach \u2013 Dr. Yong Sun<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Sun earned his PhD from Lehigh University, and has specialized in academic consulting for high school students to help them apply to their dream colleges and universities for more than 10 years. He has extensive knowledge of the admissions process as well as the specifics of each university. Dr. Sun carefully evaluates each student\u2019s unique situation to create a detailed academic plan, taking into account the many influencing factors including family, background, and, most importantly, students’ unique interests. He also guides students to search for extracurricular activities such as school clubs or local volunteer opportunities to support their growth not only as a student, but as a person. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tMr. Sun and Mrs. Liu deserve a lot of credit.\nWe are not tiger parents and we do not wish to resort to intensive, high-pressure methods to push our children to succeed. After listening to several of Mr. Sun's public lectures, we agree with Mr. Sun's philosophy of education. Mr. Sun advocates doing what needs to be done and letting nature take its course. There is no need to intentionally pursue science competitions, sports, research, attending prestigious summer schools, and so on. This makes J's mind relatively calm throughout high school, and parents avoid getting caught up in the anxiety of blindly following the crowd.\nMr. Sun is very experienced in selecting courses, and he helped to plan J's four years of high school courses to make sure that the content and difficulty level matched the majors of the colleges to which he would apply. Since the summer of 11th grade, Mr. Sun has met with his child weekly to provide guidance on all aspects of school selection, paperwork, and recommendation letters. This step-by-step approach is very effective, spreading the vast amount of paperwork evenly over 20 weeks so that the child can follow the progress step by step and complete the qualified paperwork before the deadline. Mr. Sun is extremely conscientious and responsible in his work. He has a good sense of words, both literary and rational, and a quick and steady style of thinking, which often helps him find another way to calm down his fear of difficulties when he encounters a bottleneck in just a few words.\nI would like to thank Mr. Sun for all his invaluable support throughout the college application process.
